Glyfada, GR
2024

Situated along the Athens Riviera, adjacent to the Glyfada Golf Club, this private family residence redefines contemporary coastal living through a balanced synthesis of form and function. The design is rooted in an indoor-outdoor spatial philosophy, drawing inspiration from the lavish green landscape of the golf course and the site’s inherent connection to nature. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing captures uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea, creating a seamless visual and spatial transition between interior and exterior. The material and color palette are deeply contextual: “Palm,” a nuanced green tone, references the iconic palms and foliage of the surrounding landscape, while “Salt,” a crisp white, evokes the crystalline textures and light of the Mediterranean coast. These natural hues, paired with layers of tactile fabrics and textured finishes, cultivate a refined yet approachable atmosphere that reflects the essence of family life.

At the heart of the residence lies the kitchen—conceived not only as a culinary space but as a central hub for gathering and daily rituals. Meticulously designed, it features stone countertops, intricate bespoke millwork, and an open-plan configuration that fosters connection and shared experience. This residence is a testament to thoughtful design that celebrates context, materiality, and the intimate rhythms of domestic life—an inviting, enduring sanctuary that resonates with both elegance and authenticity.
